the one that was , wasn't and was....

I have had a few emails about not being able to pin from this blog...after searching around i found that some of my settings where wrong on Flickr, which is where i upload my photos from for here...please try and pin again and now it should work :)

After a rotten week of root canals, more teeth problems which will inevitable be really expensive...and the doctor diagnosing me with Achilles tendonitis...which stopped me from doing my 25 miles marathon walk on Sunday ( i was gutted beyond belief)...a load of viruses on both my laptop and the main computer  ....my week just seem to get worse and worse, and this page just added to my headache.

First it was a 12 by 12 then an 8 1/2 by 11...and then a 12 by 12...and now i am just calling it done, done done and moving on with my life!!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I have yet another big dentist appointment this week...according to my dentist i am a dental mystery...so it should be fun! Have a good week!

so so.....

Not feeling great at the moment....i have somehow managed to hurt my ankle with...Achilles Tendinitis....i have no idea how i have done it and the doctor was really surprised as he said normally athletes or Olympic runners get it.........I did assure him i was neither lol!!! But it does mean that I am not walking far anytime soon....so a good excuse to be in my scraproom!
Anway...i managed to put the last page that I showed you together....it is not one that will set the world on fire, but at least it got me back in my room again....I even have another one on the go...so I am getting there.

 and some close ups...

I am planning a week at home next week to rest my ankle...so hopefully I will be back to walking again soon! Thanks for popping in, i will be back with my next page as soon as i have done it!

and as quick as it came....

It vanished........after all the pages I did last week. Sigh...which is just typical. here is the current state of my scrapbooking...

I got this new 'adventure' file from the Cameo website the other day and wanted to use it...this is as far as i have got...and to be honest I don't really like this! ha!

anyway I wanted to pop in to show you something, so I took some photos of my cameo mat and how I make it last and stay sticky for a long as possible.
I have been through many before I thought of this really simple idea ( hit head moment that I didnt think of it earlier)

The first mat I had, I didn't keep the cover that it came with on it...DOH! so you can imagine how long that one lasted for huh.

The second one I kept the mat on, but the sticky came off all over because I kept pulling it on and off all the time. Which annoyed me as i have never used a whole 12 by 12 sheet on the mat as most of my images i cut are fairly small...............now I do this...

I cut the mat cover up into sections....I had added dotted lines to where I cut it up...

I know only take off the parts of the cover that I need to use.

this is the one I take off the most... but I have taken another one off in the photo below to give you a better idea....

So when one section is really used up i can turn it round and then the bottom section is all clean and the adhesive is wonderful! it works brilliantly....still kicking myself as to why I didn't do this before.

anyway...I am off to the dentist again.......off to have a root canal...oh the joy and the expense to my purse :(

On a roll...

I am on a roll and I am happy. It has been a while since I have enjoyed being in my scrap room this much. I remember only not even a month ago I hated being in here...but for now I will take it and run with it. So i have another page to show you.

I bought all the new GCD Studios when it came out a few months ago. I prefer bright colours and these are screamed out BRIGHT colours! lol....

So last night as I was tidying up my scraproom...I got slightly side tracked lol...do you do that.....anyway here is what I made...

I finally got a picture of my little sister...I don't see her much as she is a Lawyer up in London so she works a lot...but recently she has been spending lots of time with me and I am loving it.

I bought the wooden frame a little while ago..it comes from the new MME line Indie Chic....i am glad i had the chance to use it....i must go back and buy some more.

Love

My husband and I had a whirl wind start to our relationship...after only a few months together we both had to move out of our individual flats as the leases had run out....so we decided to move in with each other.......lots of people frowned :( too fast, it will end in tears...and we worked together as well...everyday....but.......in July we will have been together for 11 years and married for 10 and we are still as happy as we were all those years ago.....

A few years ago I made a page about our relationship and our wedding...here it is...

I made this years ago...and as you can see my style has changed a lot but i still love the page and the story behind it...here is the journalling...

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess...she lived in a small studio castle all by herself and she was very lonely.
Far far far away in the neighbouring kingdom called Scotchland lived a brave and handsome knight.
He too was very lonely and looked for someone to love.
One day he got a call for help from the Lord of the Manor of Burstead in Essexshire...he was in distress
As he needed help in his kitchen... in his big big manor house.
So the brave and handsome knight immediately got on his trusty steed and
Galloped down to the next kingdom called Engurlund.
He endured...driving rain (only in Scotchland!) terrible gusty winds, blazing hot sun and confronted very scary looking Dragons...but still he kept going...until he reached his destination.
Now the very beautiful princess also worked in the Manor..and the day after the
Brave and handsome knight arrived their eyes met over a crowded table and it
Was nearly true love.
For many days they were friends...the beautiful princess laughing at the knights jokes (although still not really understanding his strange Scotchland accent). The brave and handsome knight all the while thinking the princess was very beautiful (although a little bossy for his taste!)
The brave and handsome knight was not very good with dates (little has changed!) and had forgotten it was the feast of st valentine...so a few days later he presented the beautiful princess with a very small box of chocolates (low fat ones of course as the beautiful princess was on a diet even though she didn't need to be)
Thus began the fairytale of their true love......
A year later the beautiful princess having become fed up waiting for the handsome knight to ask the king for his daughters hand in marriage... put his brave and handsome arm behind his back and marched him to Gretna-Greenshire to get hitched.
They then celebrated the marriage with a short honeymoon in a castle and visited the local market where they purchased many items of clothing from the stalls of Ralphius Laurenius and Thomas Hilfigerus... newly arrived traders from distant lands.
But the manor could not run for long without them so they had to return to Essexshire and continue their duties but they lived happily ever after.
Last night I sat down and did a page for us, to celebrate our tenth anniversary next month...here it is...

and some close ups...

I found this saying on Pinterest...and fell in love with it....I knew that I had to include it in my journalling.

thanks for looking!

For the love of....

This is a page that I have been working on for a few days now...because of my hands it takes me ages to make a page now...so after 3 days I finally finished this one....a page about my sons love of rocks, shells, gems and minerals.

I knew when I started this page that I wanted to use different fonts of letter stickers...for some reason I find that really hard to do...matching them all together so they looked right was a long and hard task...but I think they look okay.

I dug out some of my old rub ons for the two sides of this page as well...I need to do that more!

If you were wondering about the rain cloud...when I took this photo my son had decided that he wanted to go to the beach to collect stones...and it poured with rain!!!! and we got drenched, even though the journalling is not about the day out I wanted to remember that day.

again thanks for popping in!

Row row row your boat....

A little while ago my sister and I took our families boating....I am not a lover of boats...hence the lack of photos...I only took a couple as I had my hands firmly on the side of the boat making sure I didn't fall in...but I didn't want to not document the occasion though as it is rare we all go out together...

 and some close ups...

thanks for popping in x

Back again!

I didn't realise how long it had been since posting! I never intended to be away this long. But my urge to be in my scrap room had vanished! and I am thinking I am not alone when I say that, the longer you  are away from scrapping the harder it is to get back into it?
So a few days ago I made myself sit down in my room and make a page before the time away from it got any longer!

It is half way though the year, so I decided to do a 8 1/2 year page for Harry...a few things about him that I didn't want to forget. Oh boy...what did I let get myself into! I found it really hard to make a page that could fit that amount of journalling in. So after a few days of moving stuff around and humming about it this is what I came up with. I have to admit that I am not 100% happy with it. I still feel like there is something missing from the bottom half of the page, but to be honest I got fed up with looking at it and called it done...at least I got all the journalling in...

and here are some close ups...

I used a mixture of Crate Paper and Simple Stories on this page...

I used two older photos of Harry and then the recent one in the middle...

I have a busy weekend ahead of me....it is the Queens Jubilee over the next for days here in the UK and I have a huge BBQ planned for tomorrow...fingers crossed it doesn't rain...cannot wait to take lots of photos!

Have a good weekend everyone!
