Flowing....

One of the things that I think my scrapbooking misses and something that I struggle with is, to make my pages flow....the lady that i linked you all too yesterday...her pages...they flow...

Her pages have movement...I cannot even begin to explain that....but they are very different to mine....something that i struggle with is squares...most of my pages, are square ( not as in the shape being 12 by 12 i mean the bits that i add on)...I know this...my work has been called samey before...( is that how you spell it?) I will agree with them...i have a style and I stick with it. I tend to stay within a square and i struggle to get out it....Lilith..her pages...they flow...they move outside the square....sigh........I am not explaining this very well...i am sorry...

Well...anyway...i have taken some inspiration from her very very gorgeous work...taken the idea of detailing the edges of her pages...behind her photos......Okay every one....i stamped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep me, I took her ideas and I ran with them....( lifted them if you like...though I could never lift her pages..I wouldn't even know where to begin)......but it is a step in the right direction....here's to flowing!!!!!!

So here is my page that I have made.........trying to 'flow!!!!!

Before you ask...this is a photo of me when I was little....

I stamped the edges with a text stamp with a light grey ink..I then added some stamped butterflies..all bought from 'The Range' a few days ago...

I also added some washi tape to the edges as well...

I cut the vellum heart using a shape from my cameo...loving vellum at the moment...so much so that I have added it to the August Papermaze kit in the form of an envelope...love it!!!!

Anyway....I also saw the other day that I am near to having 500 followers on this blog...that is amazing...I think when it reaches 500 I will have a giveaway!

You did great in adding some "flow" to the page. I love the details you put into your pages, and I'm glad to see your own style in this page too. Lovely page, lovely photo! I'm just starting scrapping, untill recently I only did cards and you're pages are very inspirational to me, thanks! Joyce

This is just GORGEOUS. LOVE the stamping and you make me blush with all your compliments. Love how you tried something new but still made it you! Isn't that what it is all about. Having fun and creating. Love everything you make and it never seemed square or samey to me, just Wendy! Hugs!

funny how self critical we are isn't it. I could never call your layouts samey or square. They are very Wendy and I love them. I have to see one I didn't like and wish I could produce them.

Terrific page! Frankly, I love what you do and do not find it 'samey'. It is always good to try and work a little out of your box though!
