I did not intend to be away this week! With my son being off school, time to sit down and scrap has been few and far between....

A small giveaway....

I have ever so slightly become obsessed with making my own picks...the ones on pins or toothpicks and with an embellishment on the top????

LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

so i have been making my own to put on future projects...so i thought i would make some for a little giveaway on here...i made some butterfly ones...

mostly made from scraps of my American Crafts collections ( they look really brown edged on this photo...they are not like this in real life)

I made some boy star ones...

and then i added some flowers, buttons, transparent flowers some matching ribbon, see through gems etc...dont you just love the way they look in this dish!!!!

also the butterflies that i drew around the other day.............as i said a little giveaway but they are cute colours!!!!]]so leave your name on this post by friday and  i will get my son to pick out a winner...i put all the names in a hat and he spends ages swirling them around...he thinks it is a very important job!!!!!

this...that...and a few other things....

I have been busy the last few weeks.....

1. Sorting out my holiday to DisneyLand Paris in a few months...for those of you in the UK...Tesco clubcard points have paid for 80% of my holiday this year...do you collect yours????

2. My son fell off his chair and cracked his head open...that resulted in a quick trip to the accident and emergency room and a day off school at home with mummy...mummy guilt is a terrible thing!!!

3.getting ready for the school easter break...which is finally here and for nearly 3 weeks i have my son all to myself and i cannot wait!

4. and moving my scrapbooking room downstairs....i move it into my conservatory for the summer...for a few reasons...mostly because it is nice to sit and watch Harry play in the garden and it is lovely with the doors open to feel the sunshine. My room currently looks like this...

so nowhere near ready to use...but i am working on it today and this weekend...i always scrap better and take more photos in the summer so i am really looking forward to it!

Now...................butterflies..................i constantly get emails from people asking what butterflies i use on my pages and cards...so i decided to draw round them all and put them on here so you guys can have the same stencils as me....

so...if you see a butterfly outline that you like...right click on it....click on the 'Save image as' button and save it to your computer...i then put it into microsoft publisher but what ever you have will do...i then paste it onto a page and then i can size it to any size i want...it is as easy as that.............so here we go....

i get most of these from google...if you go onto google images and ask for butterfly outlines...up come a ton!!! i right click on them and save them to my computer and then resize them to the size i want...i do this with lots of shapes including hearts, stars etc......hope these help you!

guest spot.....

So a little while ago...i checked my email...as i do everyday....and there was an email from Jamie Sorenson with the title of the email...guest designer....do you know who she is??? well i did and to be honest i was just to excited for a few mins to even read what the email said...

For those of you who don't know she is the community and education manager over at Two Peas in a bucket ...she asked me to be the guest designer for them for April.

yes................i am one of the guest designers for the month of April...with the theme being stamping.....yep you heard it stamping............

now for those of you who know me.........i am not a stamper...not one tiny bit.........so i will admit my heart did sink when i saw that part.....but i am someone who loves a challenge....in fact some of my most fav work of all time has been done when someone has challenged me to use something i wouldn't normally use....

so without further ado...here are my cards done using stamps...

Iwona Palamountain was wonderful to give me a 'thing of beauty award' for my blog....i have had these lately and am honoured to be getting another  one...

I'm supposed to list 5 things about myself, and include at least one thing you enjoy about your craft. So here we go...( you will be fed up with learning about me soon!!!!)

1. I am not a tidy person...messy but organised...does that even make sense? strangely though not when i am scrapbooking and my room tends be very tidy and very organised.

2.I have terrible hayfever...ugh hate it...i am also allergic to dustmites....at it's worst i was changing and hoovering my bed and the whole of the house everyday...you can only imagine the tissues i go through. So there are no flowers in my house! :(

3.I prefer savoury not sweet...give me crisps rather than cream cakes any day

4.I love pyjamas...If i could stay in the them all day i would.

5. This hobby...bought me out of my post natel depression....and bought me closer to my son...i will admit ( and i know this has happened to other people as well) i found it hard to bond with Harry..i had so many medical problems after having him....i was on so much medication...that i was in a daze....the photos, his face, recording his milestones.....changed my life...

i am now going to pass these on to 5 of my regular readers and commenter's....i know there are more of you...i wish i could do you all but i promise next time i get an award i will pass it onto the others....i appreciate all your comments on here...i read each and everyone and then normally click on your blogs and have a look around!

I just couldn't resist when i saw that Jillibean was having a design team call....and i nearly fell off my chair ( well bed actually as i saw the email on my phone in the morning)...

This is one team that i have tried out for several times, so i am so pleased to have finally have made it!!!! I have applied for several different things over the last few months and didnt get them...so this was a wonderful surprise!
