but couldn't stay away!!! lol...
I realised there was a few things that i could show you this week without getting my trimmer out!
First up this week is a project that i made for American Crafts..........
This was up on their blog over christmas time so i can now show it to you on here...I couldn't find the original photos from it, so this is taken from the American Crafts blog...
it was so much fun to make!
I am going to make some of these to go with the cards that i am donating to the childrens hospice. Not to be sold, but just for the children to have if they want them, something to brighten up their rooms...stars for the boys and butterflies for the girls and ribbon hanging off.
I decided on a children's hospice round the corner to me, to donate my cards to...most places have a set of people that take the donated money and use it around the place where needed ( or so i have been told) and it is near enough that i can drop some off every month...
So i need help on this front........the unit that i am sending my cards to, is not yet open...so i have time to put together a big batch for them. So..............what should i include in this package? i have a few ideas but would like some outside input.....what sentiments to use.........i was thinking of doing some smaller little cards ...say 3 in a pack with a small sentiment slips with different words on...........so quick and easy to do then they could make up there own mind?
Ideas please? Do you do this? donate your projects? what do you include? any details that make a difference?
Anyway i will be back in a few days............being brave i am going to post my first EVER page i did!!!!!!!!!!! but my challenge to you is to post yours on your blog as well............are you that brave! i would love to see!

A few...several emails!
Do you remember this project that i posted before christmas?
( by the way my mother loved it!!!!! phew!!!!)
Since then i have had a ton of emails asking questions about it...so i thought i would post a few of the most common ones here...
1. The paper that i used was from My Minds Eye....this line...the girl line from Find and Dandy.
2. The size of the frame that i used was an 8 by 8 wooden frame that i bought from my local store over here in the UK called The Range.
3. The website that i got these images from is called Scrappy Llama...here is the website...scroll down to find the images that i used...there are some fab images on there...i still have the robots outlines in my head to use on a boy frame!
4. The size that i did the teacups and the teapots is about an inch and a bit...but that is of course depending on the size of the frame that you use...
5. I have had lots of emails asking if people can lift this project.....the answer is yes of course!!!!!!! and if you do send me a link as i have seen some gorgeous projects using these images and i would love to see more...i have heard from Scrappy llama about this project and they love it....so if you use any of them email them to show them what you have done...these are there images not mine, so make sure that if you do post this anywhere on the internet....give a link to Scrappy Llama as there are so many fab outlines on there that people can do things with! and well.....it is just polite :)
i will be back in a few days with a card using the next line from American Crafts!

Peachy Keen!
I actually think the name of this line is the best ever!!! it is so gorgeous and so pretty that i had trouble choosing which papers to use......and after spending far too long choosing i came up with this....
this stamp set is just to gorgeous not to use!!!!
Here is a close up....
I am planning on showing you a card from each of the new lines this week....though the next card took me over six hours of just pushing paper around and looking after small children so there may be a few days in between!!!! Oh and also of American Crafts assignment that needs to be done....so watch this space....
Also there maybe a chance to win some American Crafts goodies coming up soon!!!!

First off let me say that i want to thank the people who commented about the American Crafts stash...it is hard to put things like that on this blog, that i know somewhere on the internet there are people saying....oh she is just showing off...i am not stupid i have read the remarks on some places about me, my work etc.....i choose to ignore the hurtful comments.
I personally love looking at what people have bought or won etc...........and know there are people out there that do too.....to the people that dont and think that i am bragging.....sorry about that.......i wasnt...........just thought people would like to see what the new lines are...and the stuff that i like.
so rant over and onto what i wanted to share with you today....
I do not have a blog list down the side of my blog...the reason? well i never seem to be able to find the time to go though my massive list of blogs i follow...and i am too lazy!!!

The second one i want to share with you today is a lady called Carly...again i found her on the message board and have been hooked ever since...here is her blog - Paper in Bloom...again spend a bit of time there....
Check out her links on the side...one to her scrapbooking room which is amazing!!!!!!!!! oh how i wish i had the space and the gorgeous stuff that she has...........also the things i want you to check out are her videos.....here
I have just put all my ( and when i say all... i mean only three as they are expensive ) spellbinders in the cd cases like she says in the videos and i love it!!!!! Her work is gorgeous as well...really she should update more as i check there nearly every day...lol

American Crafts ...Classic line
Hi...i wanted to make my mum something extra for her birthday...she loves reading books and i had a request through email a little while ago to make a bookmark..so i combined the two...
I used the Classic Line here from American Crafts to create this elegant bookmark...
I used this journalling card set...
for the base of the Bookmark..i added one of the Classic tags...and i used a strip of their spinach premium ribbon as a strip for the middle...and some love ribbon...add some Maya Road ( because it matched perfectly) and i was done...really quick and easy...
If you have the journaling card set these are so easy to make! as they all come in strips!
Love it!

A dull and dark day....
Trying to get a good photo in this light is just awful...so i have done the best i can.....
For this card i used the sheet of vellum that came with the Nook kit....yep....vellum!!!! i cut it out and used it as the backing sheet for the card...i cut it out so that the words would line up where i wanted them to go....
If you get the Nook kits...this blue colour works really well with it!!!!

Such a pretty kit.....
Because i know you are going to ask...nope i didnt make the picture frame behind this car.....i wish! i bought it from here just before xmas......it is beautiful...
and to answer another question...i buy pre made cards from my local craft shop...i find them thick enough for what i want....i sometimes use cardstock if i want a different size or shape, but the ones i get ) and they are nothing fancy) do me just fine...also then i get the envelopes as well!!!!!
I think i need to do a question and answer post!!! lol
