A jillibean giveaway...

Morning all...today i have some photos of some homemade embellishments made with different bits of Jillibean soup supplies...Okay here we go...

I make these all the time...and they are really easy to make....Basically i adhere lots of strips of pattern paper one under each other....i then punch out the shape from this...do it this way instead of punching out the shape first and then adding the paper after.
I use these all the time for tags for wrapping paper...i normally use brown wrapping paper to wrap presents and these little tags give it a colour boost!

Quick and easy to make....I used the packs of papers for this project as the patterns are smaller.
Next up is my little pegs...

I found this little pegs in the children's arts and crafts aisle....they are perfect for hanging up photos or notes...I used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies...to make sure they adhere well, use a strong glue.

I used these on this project as well...

I am in love with the corrugated shapes and as you know i love butterflies so these are just meant for me...the ribbon embellishment is perfect as that added little thing to jazz up any butterfly...

I then punched out 3 of the Bigger butterfly shapes, doing three gives an embellishment like this dimension..i sewed the little cocktail sticks inside to make sure it doesnt come out.... these are perfect just to add to any page! I make these all the time, they are very quick and easy to make!I often make these with the little corrugated shapes as well...
I love making little notes and leaving them for people...one of the things i make these for are little notes to my son in his lunch box...you can find any shape you like by searching the internet!!! this one i added a little heart to seal it...

Last one is a wooden embellishment...do you have these? i find them in craft shops everywhere and they make perfect little embellishments...

the ones i get have holes in the top and make perfect little presents for people...i make my own to hang on my wardrobe doors!!!! such a fun look!

All of these are wrapped up in a little paper box...

and ready to be sent to the winner....i have also thrown in a few extra Jillibean bits and pieces to make it a nice pile....all you have to do is leave a comment about what sort of embellishments you like to make and i will draw a winner.....happy commenting!

I adore what you do with punches :), I'm forever making ribbon flowers, I tend to buy most of my embellishments though

What a great tip for those little punched pieces. Simply adorable! I really love making my own embellies or buying ones other people make....lol. I love finding new techniques for flowers and right now the little banners and pinwheels are my faves to make and play around with :) Thanks for a chance to win!

Those are all gorgeous! I love the idea about covering first and then punching...definitely would make it easier! Righ now I am into making banners...they are so fun, and I like experimenting and seeing what I can make them out of...I have done buttons, flowers, fussy cut stamps, etc. They are alot of fun! Thanks for a chance to win!

These are fab and will have to have a go at making some of the punched embellies - a fab way of using up little scraps.

I like to make my own punched flower embellishments - last year I did I floral punch craft class and learnt how to do all the shaping, it has really changed how I use punched flowers on my cards and layouts.

Oh these are adorable! I saw the majority of them over at the Jillibean sight today!

I am also a big 'puncher' for embellishing - along with buttons and twine...

I adore buttons as emblishements, especially old ones found from a car boot or a jumble fair. I also love adding pins and coloured seam binding to my cards. But like you i use punched out shapes whenever i can. Love your ideas with the little pegs.

I'm really into flowers at the moment. I love your tags and might just have to steal your idea. Keep up the good work

I use the brown paper gift bags and make really fun tags with the persons initial(s) on them and something they like (ie, hunting, baseball, flowers, etc.). I do this a lot when my son gets invited to a b-day party. I like to hope that the kids save them to hang in their rooms. I love your idea with the strips of paper and a punch. Love all the color, I have to try that - really cute!!!

What a fabulous giveaway! I always admire your wonderful style...always so clean and crisp and just the right amount of amazing color!

For me, I would say my favorite kind of embellishment to make is definitely flowers! I love making the accordion medallions too...sometimes a little tricky but the end result looks so cool!

They are all so lovely Wendy, you have such great ideas. I am really loving those super butterfly pegs, so dainty. I have always loved making flowers but more recently have enjoyed making pleated edging and of course butterflies....now I wonder who I can blame for inspiring me???

Ooh Wendy you are gifted with such a talent. There is no little piece of paper you can't turn in something so beautiful and cute as these embellishments. Have to say I don't make much embellishments simply because I don't come up with all those great ideas. But seeing this I'm sure I'll do in the future. Great tip amongst all others for those strips and punching.
Many hugs Anja
