It has been a while since i have showed a butterfly project, so as i was getting withdrawal symptoms i thought i would sit down and make one!
I mentioned the other day that i bought 4 small canvases...i bought these from my local shop called 'The Range' ( yep again) i love that shop for cheap things to alter. These little canvas cost me the grand total of £1.99....
Here is what i made...
The canvas was white, but after putting it all together i realised that it was boring so i painted them to match the colours in the pattern paper that i was using....
and then inked all the edges with brown ink, i then also sprayed it all with gold glimmer mist, which you cannot see on the computer but in real life it looks so pretty!
Here are some more close ups...
I ran all the white squares though a Cuttlebug embossing folder...just to add some detail.
The hardest part of this project was getting the pins in the right place! to make sure they all hang straight....i am thinking about buying another 4 to make it bigger. All the supplies that i used in this project are the new line Margarita line from American Crafts.

Fabulous, really striking in those bold colours too.
These are stunning Wendy! I'm inspired to have a go myself & that gives me a great excuse to drive to Shrewsbury to my nearest 'The Range' store since they closed the Telford branch (booo!) xx
PS I'm pinning this to Pinterest - do you 'pin'?
