A little card....

It has been a while since i had actual fun when creating something...so for now, while i feel like this, i am going to stick creating things that i like doing....like making cards!!! so expect a few in the coming months!!!

Can i ask a question...to all you girlies that make cards...when you make as many as i do ( and i know you do!!! lol) what do you do with them all...do you give them out to people? save them up and have a huge pile? sell them? i was thinking of making a bunch and giving them to the local charity shops near where i live, but i am not sure if i they would take them? Anyway let me know what you do...

I went to Papermaze and bought some of the new Echo park called Little girl and as usual it is gorgeous...i so love that company!!!

I made this for the Scrap Paper Scissors blog...

seriously this line is so pretty!

Okay now onto the winner of the stamps...drum roll please!!!!!

Wendy, I read your blog through google reader and I love all you projects!! I notice that your projects alway have the dimensional items inked around the edges. What ink do you use for this? I do this and I have tried several different ones but I haven't found just the right one I like.
Thanks!

I love your cards Wendy and I am sure you will be able to find a charity shop that would take them. I make for my own needs and I also do voluntary work with a local charity that grants wishes to children with cancer and provides equipment for their care and respite holidays for their families. I do two fundraisers a year selling my cards and I always keep a for sale box handy for family and friends to look through when they need cards.

I specifically make cards for OperationWriteHome.org. They send boxes of handmade cards all around the world to troops so they can write home to their loved ones.I love doing it!! And you're cards/layouts are beautiful!

Your cards are lovely.

I do a combination of giving out for Birthdays etc, then every so often I take a batch to various local charity shop.

Cancer Research have a yearly 'call out' for handmade cards that are sent all over the country to sell.

Your cards are always beautiful and any charity would be very lucky to have them. If you didn't want to sell them for yourself you could always have a craft sale inviting family and friends and give the money to charity.

Just make sure that if you do give them to a charity shop they appreciate all your hard work. The cancer research campaign is a good way to put your cards to good use but I think they normally have to be A6 size as they give you a cellophane bag that they use to display in their shops.

I don't make enough cards to comment really, but I think the one to send to our troops is a wonderful idea...i know all charities are worthy, but this sounds like such a special thing to do.Anyone would be thrilled to receive any of your creations xx Warmest wishes Anita..xx

Beautiful card Wendy. I sell some of my cards, give a lot away and have just recently sent 2 big postpaks of cards to Ronald McDonald House here in QLD, Australia....they support families who have sick children attending hospitals away from home.....RMH is somewhere for the families to live away from home. I received a lovely thank you card from them and will definitely be sending them a pile again at the end of this year. Hope you find somewhere local who will appreciate your cards. Cheers!

Hi Wendy I think charity would love to sell your cards they are so gorgeous!
I give some cards to Unicef and they sell them.
For birthdays I make a box with 15 or 25 cards for different occasions
For family and friends who like it they also get another gift but they all like to get the cards they say. Also send lots of cards myself to friends and family.
And there are also cards I keep I cann't send them away they go in my treasure box its so great to see them all also for inspiration.
