Oh my gosh it has started...

The big trek to make as many xmas cards as i can!!!

So i began with using my American Crafts stash!!!! well why not...it is gorgeous!!!

again my camera is off...i am not sure why...i am going to take it into the camera shop to find out!!!

Well that is one down...several 30 more to go!!!! I think i need to make them a bit simpler if i want to get them all done by xmas huh!!!!

I will announce the winner of the Zva competition on friday...so check back then!!!!

A giveaway...

Today i am having a Zva giveaway...i am no longer part of their design team...i just couldn't fit it all in with other design teams, work looking after different members of my family who need my help.

But i have been left with an amazing amount of bling...i have picked a few out to give to you today...

I do have a page to show you but i want to re photograph it...for some reason everything i am photographing at the moment is coming out fuzzy...i dont use manual mode on my camera to take photos of my pages so it is on auto focus so i have no idea what is going wrong!!!!

Life has taken over....

Real life has taken over here this week...visiting my aunt, taking care of my grandparents...working...and general life stuff. I have a page done for the nook which i will show you on monday...i am taking a break from real life this weekend and am hiding away in my scraproom to scrap up a storm...

Christmas is nearly here and i have a ton of cards to make, scrappy assignments that the deadlines, that  have nearly run out ...and my sons birthday to plan.., he was born on christmas eve...so christmas is extra busy in this house.!!!! lol. ( and my doohickey is here!!!!!)

So i will be back on Monday with a layout and hopefully ( if i have two mins) a Zva Creative give-away for you...i have tons of gorgeous bling left over from when i was on their design team and i feel the need to share!!!

Here is the first page i have done with the Nook kit...i am mainly happy with it but wish that i could change some stuff...not happening though as i have stuck it all down!!! lol

I bought a doohickey!

We were having a conversation on the message board over at the nook...Leah wanted a doohickey! In the USA it is called a florist frog...

over here they are called Floristry pin holders...i have been looking for one for ages...but without a name what can you do!!!!!!
You can them being used on Leahs blog and also Dawn's blog...i cannot wait to get mine!

I have nothing scrappy....

mainly because my bedroom looks like this...

I am currently in the middle of re doing my bedroom....lots of cream, deep reds, browns and golds! it is going to look gorgeous!!! but as normal this kind of stuff takes over the house! Harry and i are currently sleeping downstairs as his room is filled with my bedroom!!!

i am thinking this for the duvet! but wish i had the guts for this...this mirror ) the beautiful florish one on the lefthandside...that one is a lot of money but found one cheaper in my local shop and a gold bronze colour!

A bit over the top??? but i dont care it is going to look stunning!

being positive....

that is my aim from now on....things have not got better this week...my new i phone...which i love, adore, worship and was a present...fell in the water...even after being drying out for days it has yet to work...

My dear husband broke our bed..stood it on one side ( we are decorating our room) and it fell over and smashed...the vacuum cleaner blew up and so did the stereo that i use in my bed room....it has been one of those months that have just gone from bad to worse!!!! for my purse!!!

So this moves me onto my final Midnight Rooster mini kit. My question to you this month is....have you had times in your life that have sucked...where things have just gone wrong one thing after another? I am now just laughing at myself and my misfortune...so make me laugh about silly things that have happened to you.

Last and final

The last kit from Midnight Rooster...and boy was it a gorgeous one!

Okay here is the first page i did with the kit. This is a picture of my gorgeous son...he had just scored a goal against his father in the park!!!! lol i manged to get this 'gooooooooooooool' picture! One of my favs!!!

The beautiful Yellow and Greens stood out to me when i opened the box!

I always wanted to stitch over the letters on my page, but for some reason i always forgot!!! but this time i remembered...see anything missing on this??? yep the letters are not inked! i laid them on the page, intending to add the ink the next day...went to bed and when i got up i could pick up the letters!!! they were stuck fast!!! lol

And things got worse - and a winner

 First i want to thankyou for all the sweet comments that you left for me yesterday...they mean alot, unfortunately... just when you think things couldnt get worse they did. My mum found my grandad on the bed after some sort of attack yesterday...i am just sitting here waiting to see what else can possibly go wrong! We are a lucky family normally with health problems ( if you dont take my many illnesses into the equations )

Anyway... enough moping...Here is the card that i showed a sneak of  the other day.

Somebody asked me the other day what i do with the edges of all my paper  that i use on my projects....yep i ink every single piece...the problem is when you start doing something you cannot stop! i have to ink everything now otherwise it looks funny to me.

For this i use this ...ink...

i do have other colours but i always use this...i put it on the edges of the paper with this

 

it is fab..you just cut out the size you want, i normally cut out a small rectangle square to use...

 Here is the final picture for the November Nook kit...as you can see the November colour challenge is on the bottom for you to see as well...

a long week!

It has been a long week here in my house. I started a new job! Which is currently tiring me out...my aunt, who has lung Cancer had been told she may only have a week to live...and on top of all of that i have been to the doctors today and i have low blood pressure...so feeling very dizzy, sick and generally off.

The doctors advice...rest! OOOOOOOOOkay! i will do that if you do my work, design team work, crops that i am teaching at this weekend and a family that are all coming round to my house this weekend.

So i dont have anything new to show you today...other than a sneak of a card i made for the new competition  that is up on the Scrap paper scissors blog this weekend..so check that out 2m.

I have not had a chance to pick a winner of the stamps but i promise i will do that this weekend.

American Crafts!

One of the things that i got in my box from American Crafts was these...

As soon as i opened the box i started to drool!!!! The possibilities are endless! A set of cards...empty inside and perfect for adding to!

So i grabbed this one..

i love this one...i love the fact that there is still plenty of scope to add stuff to!

Here is what i did with it!

All the supplies on this card are made using the City park line...i used this paper ( it is my fav of all the papers)

the best for cutting out the flowers! Perfect!

I used this ribbon! which is again my fav! The one at the bottom.

Sigh!!!!!!!! i love this line sooooooo much!

The October kit was my last one with Midnight Rooster :( so i thought i would do a midnight Rooster giveaway.
