Bits and pieces post...

I have a few things to share with you today

Okay first...i want to answer a question from my post from yesterday..someone asked which box i put my multi coloured embellishments in...here is how i work it...

1. When i looked at a colour of something, especially if there are two colours i put it in the colour box of the colour that jumps out at me first.
2. If it is white and a colour it always goes in the colour box and not the white one as white goes with everything....still with me??? lol
3. if it is covered in colour it doesnt go in a colour box it goes in my other embellishments boxes. I have several that just hold things like...journaling cards, sheer journaling cards, calender spots etc....hope that make sense.!!!
Next up the November Scrapbook Nook kit!

it got Tedious!

Does that sound awful? as a scrapbooker it got tedious sorting my stuff out??? In my defence the whole room has taken me two days...two days of building and sorting and throwing away...now i normally love sorting out my stuff but at half nine last night i have just about given up!
But it is done, it is gorgeous, i have a ton of storage space that i can add stuff to and not be over crowded...i no longer have 100's of little storage items that take up to much space and still not enough room.

After a big discussion with my husband we both decided that this had to be done ( i didnt need any persuading i hasten to add!!!) and then spent hours looking though the Ikea website as to what to buy...

And here it is all done...let me show you around...the photo colours are not great due to the weather here in the UK being RUBBISH, DARK AND WET!

Here is the biggest furniture that i got...an EXPEDIT

i only got a four by four, because as you are about to see i do not have a huge room! In fact it is the box room one of the smallest rooms in the house.

So this sits on the left handside of the room...and it holds everything

it holds all my papers...which as you can see sit across the top...

I bought another 4 to put stuff in ( i think i need more lol)
In the holes in the unit i bought Glis boxes...i bought 24 of them...as you can see they fill up a lot of the holes...

In them are my entire embellishments...and i mean everything and that is what took me the time...emptying out everything that had an embellishment in it...moving it across and labelling what was in each box...

I kept my colour boxes...they work really well!

and inside one...

I also got these boxes...Lekman...pssssst if you ever buy these give them to someone else to put together as they are a PAIN to get together!

In them holds all my stickers, thickers, stamps lettering...everything really lol!!!

this is my stamp one ( funny...see how many many stamps i have...i never use stamps! )

On a side note...this is how i am storing all my American Crafts supplies...

In this picture you can get an idea of just how small my room is...here is my new desk

The table was bought in bits ( it turned out cheaper that way) a long plank of wood ( from Ikea) and 4 legs...under the table you can see my drawers...

I left a little space underneath the table to put my trimmers! such a good idea!!!!

There are 5 drawers in which are held, paper, pens, glue and bits for stamping!
Here is my glue drawer...

it all fitted in really well...

To the right of my desk...we messed up a bit on this the unit that you can see here was supposed to fit onto my other unit which you will see in a min but it was too bit so we had to improvise...

This holds all my pretty things..jars for my ribbon...

and my buttons...

and a few other bits and pieces...

and then there is my other basket unit...

 This holds my punches...

my cardstock...

Which as i am looking at the picture i need to re label like the rest...

and then behind the door are my dvds...

I am pleased with it...it gives me room to grow and add stuff ( of course!!!) but it works now and i am happy! I will be back this weekend with a halloween frame made with American Crafts!

A delay,,,,

I know there is normally a post on a Wednesday...i do have a good excuse as to why there wasn't one!
I was at Ikea....buying a new scrapbooking room!

When all my American Crafts supplies arrived it was clear that my room was getting to the point of bursting and i had to do something. Over the years when i ran out of space i just bought another storage item and added it into an already crowded room...just making the room worse!

So with the help of my amazing mother in law! My dh and i went shopping at Ikea....and i now have a new room....with lots of organised storage and alot of room for growth.

So today is my putting away day...and it is going to take me hours! But when i am done i will take a ton of photos to show you! and i have a gorgeous Halloween frame made using the new American Crafts Boo line to show you....I will be back!

I have a blog post coming up on the American Crafts Blog..do you fancy a peek?

A no photo layout

I have had this in my head to do for a while...just like the envelope on my previous page.... no photo layout. Actually i found this very easy. There was nothing to match the colour with so i could do any colour combination that i wanted to.

( sorry the edges are a bit funny...i think i uploaded it to big from Flickr!)

I wrote about the things that i hate...
I did this using the October Nook kit...I am still amazed that we are nearly at the end of October! Gulp...that means that i will be 35 next month! hmmmm getting to near to 40 for my liking!!!!

October Nook Kit

The Nook kit this month was beautiful...( hint...i know what is in the next month and it is even more beautiful!!!!)

I had the idea for this little pocket for a while now...and as soon as i saw the kit i knew it was time to make it...nothing fancy, i cut out a strip of kraft cardstock and folded over the end...and then stitched it together.

i loved the corrugated shapes in this kit! and added them to the title which i placed around the centre part of the page...

and lastly the finally part that i added...a real after thought!
