Zva Creative Blog hop

The Zva Designers are joining together again today to share a project that we have created using some of our favorite Zva Creative http://www.zvacreative.com/index.html products. I am hoping that you will take some time to join us for a little bit of fun again this month!

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog: http://paperhugs.typepad.com/paper_hugs/. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating incase there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package ...YAY! Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts now and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, September 28th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, September 29th on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog as well (linked above). We will
do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday...plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

For this months Zva Projects i challenged myself to use the felt flowers that they make...you can see them here- felt flowers...
A bit different than what i would normally do...trying to get out of my comfort zone! lol

My first project was a origami box...

and some cards...

The blog hop begins here: Kim Hughes http://paperhugs.typepad.com/paper_hugs/

Your next stop is here : Susan Lui...http://www.luv2scrap-pages.blogspot.com/

Thank you SO MUCH for joining us...

a card and a giveaway...

Morning all....hope you have all had a good week...i am off to London this weekend with just me and my husband this weekend...time just together...i cannot wait!

Anyway...i have a few things to share with you today so bear with me...

First things first...the call has gone up for Midnight Rooster...you can see it here... i will not be re-applying but please all try out!

Next up .....i feel like i need a drum roll for this.....i made a card!!!!!!!!! please insert shocked face here. I have been suffering with a block in my creativity...i have spent the last few months banging my head ( not literally i may add) against the wall of my scrapbooking room. It has been a struggle...there have been points where i have hated being in there...i closed the door and walked away...part of me never wanted to go back in...have you ever felt like that?

Yep this has happened before but never for so long...but yesterday i went back in...sat down and made a card...

now i am not saying it is the best card i have ever done...it took me hours to make ( far too long actually) and the ideas are not yet flowing back into my brain...but it is a start i suppose.

Also here is my halloween giveaway...

i will leave this open while i am away this weekend and close it on monday morning ( uk time)...this is open to everyone regardless where you live. BUT PLEASE...if you post a comment then please come back and check to see if you have won...i have still to hear from the lady who won the pins...so will have to re do the giveaway for that again.

Have a good weekend...i know i will...i am off to Harrods!!!! not to buy anything as i dont have £100 for a packet of biscuits...lol but i love looking round that shop...full of such beautiful things...oh how the other half live!

Nook classes

Did you know that over at the Nook Message Board the design team take it in turns to do a class with the kits...there are some amazing ideas up there...

This month i jumped straight in and did the 12 by 12 page...it was one of those pages that look so much better in real life! :( so i am not that happy with it...next time i will do better...

Anyway here is the page that i did...

If you want to see it larger then click on the image above...I kept it quite simple as i know sometimes i tend to layer stuff and that doesn't come out well when you are photographing and giving people instructions of what to do...anyway to see close ups of this page please pop over to the message board  and have a look...I have done several pages using this kit to show you this week! But there are loads inspiration on the design team gallery so have a look here...

hi

Do you remember the colour challenge that was posted on Nook message board? You can find it here...i have finally got round to making my one with the September Nook Kit...
Here is the colour combo...

and here is my take on it...

In the September kit there is a mini Jenni Bowlin album... there are lots of insert pages...so i grabbed two of them to use on this kit...

I cut out the butterfly from the centre of the sheet and then added the pattern paper behind it...the tab at the top is attached to a tag and pulls out to write your message on...i then sewed the two sheets together round the edges. I have a special birthday in mind for this card....have you had a go???

A little card...

I seem to find doing a page lately very daunting? am i the only one that finds this...i have the photo, the supplies and then i sit down and just look at them...what if i cut them wrong? then i will have ruined the papers...which is really silly as they are about 70p!!! lol...

So i settled for a card instead!

I am totally in love with the new Line from Cosmo Cricket...i think it is going to be one  of those lines were i buy them over and over again!!!

I used a SRM sticker for the sentiment for this one...i still have loads left in my pack they sent me...

anyone interested in on the Midnight Rooster team??? well if you are let me know!!!!   My term with them is up soon and i know they will be looking for people replace the ones that are leaving...stay tuned!!!

An altered item and a challenge...

I am doing the post over at the Scrap Paper Scissors blog today...

At the weekend i decided that it was finally time to get a new pin board...mostly because my one was finally falling apart and nothing was actually 'pinning' in anymore! lol...

So i grabbed one from a local shop and then i sat and looked at it for ages...how do i alter it...do i do it all or just a little bit...because...well i am a scrapper and a normal pin board would just have been boring huh!

I decided that as most of it was going to be covered by stuff anyway so i just decided to add something across the top...and of course i had the new Cosmo Cricket to use as well!

Here is the whole pin board with stuff on it...

As you can see i adhered some pegs across the top to hold stuff with...and of course i altered the pegs!

Click on the photo above to see it bigger...you can see some more close ups on the Scrap paper scissors blog...which you can see here...and strangely the colours look better on there as well!

Okay onto the next thing...over at My Scrapbook Nook...we are having a colour challenge...the gorgeous Danni..who makes the most gorgeous cards ever and is the sweetest person in the world has put together a colour challenge which as you can see matches perfectly with this months kit...

Here are the colours..

Here is Danni's take on it...

and  here is Becky's take...

When my kit arrives i will post my take on it! Check out the details here...

Let me just say....

There have been several comments over the last few months about Halloween...people have been waiting to see what i am going to create...what projects i am going to do..

I am here to disappoint you i am afraid...

I don't do Halloween...over here in the UK it is not a bit holiday...in fact in my house apart from design team assignments it goes unnoticed . So apart from design team responsibilities i will not be creating anything...but i know i will be getting some American Crafts...so keep checking!

BUT...

I know that lots of you want something so in a few weeks i am going to have a give away...as my mojo has gone on an extended vacation...which i hope it is enjoying its time away as i am NOT!!!! i decided to sit down and make some embellishments for guys who do, do Halloween... it was good fun actually.

I used my Halloween supplies from when i was on the Dream Street Papers team...actually one of the most gorgeous Halloween papers that i have found...Here is a sneek as to what i have made and put together for you...

There is more stuff...some just ideas in my head at the min...and some done...but i just wanted you to see what you could win...

So in a few weeks this will go up as a give away...check back as you dont want to miss out!!!!
I wrote this post a few days ago...but since then i HAVE MADE A CARD!!!!!!!! come back 2m and i will have it up here for you to see!

One winner from each of the 5 blogs will receive a Zva prize package worth $30.00. Congrats winners!

Okay onto the next thing...
on holiday you have to visit the local craft shops huh!!!!

So i found one on the outskirts of Edinburgh...and i was very very good...there was so much i could have bought but as it had to fit in my tiny suitcase i had to limit myself!!!

So here it all is...

I found this...

I am not sure what i am going to do with it yet...but i am thinking a monthly calender to put up in my room...hmmm any ideas???

Next i picked up some K and Co flowers...so pretty!

and these ones...

i bought these...such a great butterfly shape!

and these...how pretty are they...they had butterfly ones...and i put them down!!!!!!!! i know!!!!!!

and lastly these..which i am in love with!!!

and i found this leaflet on the side in the shop..it was as if it was made for me!!!! lol

You still have today to leave a post on my pin give-away...you can find it here...

I have spent the last few days moving all my scrapbook stuff. In the summer i bring it out of my scrapbooking room and put it all into my conservatory...this way i can be with Harry all summer, watching him in the garden etc...now the weather is colder and with my hands that work worse when they are cold...and Harry goes back to school on friday...it was time for it all to go back upstairs...

I thought this would help my lack of design ideas....nope...normally an idea comes in my head...i either then write it down or run to my room to create. THese ideas have not happened for over two weeks now.

So i still have nothing to show you...i did however pick up the new Cosmo Cricket...so maybe that will spark something?

ohhhh and i almost forgot...here is a sneek of the new Midnight Rooster kit is here...

yummmmmmmmmmmm!

ANYWAY....i will be back on friday...i have a Halloween sneek peek for you and a winner of my pins...see you then. :)
