Making a card - Zva Style -

I know it is not Monday but i thought as it was the Zva blog hop i would do it today...so ....Time for another card...done using Zva pearls!!!

I wanted to make the card have three circular windows...i found the centre of the card and drew out my first circle...

i then used that one to measure where the other three should go...

i then cut them out with a craft knife...and ended up with this...

I then used my cuttlebug to cut out 3 scalloped circles...
I then cut a circle out the middle so i was just left with the outside rim...and then adhered them around the cut out circles.

As shown in the photo above i punched out a small scalloped circle and then punched out a slighter bigger on and put it underneath..I did that in the middle of all the holes...i used these foam dots to stick them down...

I love them!!! they are not to thick so they only raise stuff up a little bit, perfect for what i wanted!!!

I then cut out a butterfly...

i then added three cream pearls to the centre doing down in size with the biggest one on the top...

I wanted to have the butterfly with a trail...but all the swirls i had where to big, so i cut off part of one...
i then adhered it to a piece of transparency...enough so i could adhere a bit of it to the back of the butterfly to attach it...

and placed it in the centre circle...I glued it to the front of the card not to the circle in the middle or the card will not open!!! ( yep i am the idiot that did that first!!! lol)

I then moved onto the other circles...the top and the bottom one are the same...
i punched out some flowers...and a small circle

and layered them on top of each other... i then added a brown pearl from the same packet for the centre part...

I then used puff paint and added some dots onto the petals of the flower...

I did this to the top and the bottom.

I then tied some string around the middle of the bottom two circles...i made a tag out of a Cuttlebug die...

i added a line of the smaller pearls for decoration...and we are done...

and here is the inside...

ZVA Creative Blog Hop

I have been having problems with my email and some have been bouncing back...if you emailed me and got an error email message sent back please try again!!!!

Are you ready to be inspired?

As you may know, I am a proud design team member for Zva Creative. We are joining together today to share a project that we have created using some of our favorite Zva Creative http://www.zvacreative.com/index.html products. I am hoping that
you will take some time to join us for a little bit of fun!

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog: http://paperhugs.typepad.com/paper_hugs/
She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. There are 19 design team members, so be prepared to be inspired along the way. Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package ...YAY! Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

This Blog Hop runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, June 29th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 30th on each of the winning blogs and the full list will be found on Kim Hughes‘s blog (linked above). We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday...plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post...you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

As you know every Monday i post a card with step by step instructions using Zva Products...here are the ones i have done so far...so next monday pop back and see another one.

Please hop on over to see:

for my sister...

I am a tad bit obsessed by frames at the moment...for those of you who have been a visitor of my blog for a while now will know that it is a recent obsession...so i went inspirational shopping the other day...do you do this?

I wonder around places that i love and see what i can find...hence how i picked up my white frames from recent posts...this time i went to NEXT HOME...the colours of this place are amazing...if you live in the UK find one of these and go for a wander, i promise you as a scrapbooker you will love it!

On the trip i did the other day i found this frame...it struck me at once...as it had no back...there was glass in the middle so you can see all the way though ...which is gorgeous!!! so i picked it up...£8!!!! bargain!!!

I knew that i wanted to make something for my older sisters birthday ( Sam if you reading stop looking now!!!!) and i knew i wanted to use some hanging string with flowers hearts etc hanging on it.

TO make it easier ( if you are going to do something like this) i did this...

Makes it easier to adhere this to the string without it moving...

I then used my fav gems and pearls from Zva Creative...

I then made this...

OH MY!!! you have no idea how hard this was to photograph...this was the best one that i could get...and i even then i am not happy with it...

Everytime i tried to photo it the colours where wrong or there was so many shadow from the glass!!! arghhhhhhh

Anyway after over 50 photos ( i kid you not) i stayed with these ones...hope they show it off!!!

Come back 2m as we have a Zva Blog hop....i have scheduled my post to go up at 2pm UK time as i am out all day...fingers crossed it goes up, if not i will add it asap.

Jaw....on the floor!!!!!

I got a lovely email yesterday from Julie at Cosmo Cricket...asking if it was okay for her to share some of my Delovely work on their blog....after i had picked my jaw up off the floor...lol...i said yes!!! so check out the Cosmo Cricket blog....

Now onto the frame that she showed yesterday...

As you know i showed you a frame a while ago that i really loved...but when the sun came the colours where not bright enough so i changed my mind! Not unusual as my husband will tell you, but i prefer it! i am completley in love with the new Cosmo Cricket Delovely line...i know it is bright but seriously it is gorgeous! and just perfect for the way i scrap!

So i changed the frame to this...

and now i am a happier scrapbooker!!!! I will change it again for the winter time with probably blues and greens and whites!!!
Will be back at the weekend with the butterfly winner :)

for Ruby

I altered my frame

...and it was harder than i thought!!! Not sure why as i really love altering stuff like that but hey any hoo it is done...
And here is how...

I used butterflies again ( sorry)...I attacked the middle section first...I used the girls Paperie line...well it is one of the most gorgeous lines EVER ( in my opinion)...

Cut out the first one from pattern paper...

Then on top of that i added this...

it looks heavy put isnt really...it comes with string though the middle and there are another two in the line but i just wanted the one so cut off the string...this goes on top of the pink butterfly...

I then made a butterfly out of the Hambly pattern transparency that i showed you the other day...

I then added a smaller butterfly and then this...
they are little crystal beads, i found it in the sale section at a shop and was convinced that i could something with them!!!

this all fixes to the middle section of the frame...

Above and beyond i used these...

I wanted them to sit on the edge of the frame so i added lots of foam pads...

...i then made two smaller butterflies and poked a hole in the middle of them

and then added the crystal flowers...

I inked the edges of all the frame..and voila!!!! (sorry funky colours, blame the rotten british weather for that)!!!!

sorry went a bit over board with the detail shots!!!

I added some of my photos...but this is for a friend of mine who has just had a baby...and the frame will hold her photos...Thanks for looking!

cute

Cute cute cute!!! that is what i think my son is but then i am bound to be biased huh! Anyway i wanted to do a page with this photo....turns out i have scrapped it before!!! who knew not me! but hey i like it so... for this page i used some Crate Paper...

Funky colours they make my sons lips look wEiRd!!!!!

To make the star...i used the star journaling spot from Jenni Bowlin and then covered the edges with the pattern paper...

add some journaling spots and part of the title...
I then had a lot of fun making these little trees...i loved them so much but had yet to use them...

Some close up shots...

Loving these little pegs!!!
