An interesting time!

Okay a few things today...

First up...my Midnight Rooster kit is on its way as we speak....flying across the ocean! I have seen the kit...but you will have to wait for the reveal on that one but i am telling you it is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have also seen a sneak of what the website will finally look like and it is so cute! I will let you know when it is up and running. FOr now Tobi have sneaks on her blog so check it out here.

So it arrived!

Yep october afternoon came into Papermaze! Worth waiting for ...in my opinion! lol...so i played with it for the Scrap Paper Scissors blog! Go and check it out!

Special card....

This card has been made for someone very special to me and just a normal card wouldnt have cut it so i made it a bit bigger and a bit more special.



I had a lot of fun making the butterfly out of book print paper but it looked a bit boring so i added the extra bits on the edges for added detail.

I used the same design as the base for the rest of the card so it all matched together.


I left the middle scalloped plain to make sure that i had somewhere to write my message on...
I used the Lullaby collection from some Dream Street Papers that i had left over for this...i hope she likes it!

One for the family!

Would you want to be at the bottom of all of those??? lol!!!

I have been away for the last few days...not far from where i live, but it was nice just to leave behind the washing and never ending ironing and just spend some time with my family...so i have taking thousands and thousands of photos over the last week!!!! seriously how quick do they mount up when you just click away!!!!

So for the benefit of my family who came with me the next few posts will have a lot of photos in them of what we did and saw..so please feel free to skip them if you want to!!! lol will post some scrapbooking stuff soon!

I love this one of the giraffes! they look like they are so in love!!!


I stood for ages waiting for the owl to open its eyes!!! that to me is the best bit but nooooooooo!



These lemur had its baby a few weeks ago...So sweet!

First off today i am going to show you a card i made for this sketch over at 2 sketches for u.

I have my scraproom in two places in my house...during the autumn and winter it is upstairs in my spare room...this room is so small if you stand up with out stretched arms you touch both walls...small but cosy i do like it.

But in the spring and summer all my stash goes downstairs into the conservatory...which i then share with my son and his computers and toys for the summer so we can be together...here are some pictures of how it looked in the conservatory a few years ago...




LOL!!! i have my stuff much more organised now than i did then...looking at it i am suprised i could find anything!!!!

So when Harry goes back to school i plan on moving it all....oh that is going to take some doing!!!!

So i went to Papermaze the other day...and very casually Vanessa says to me...'oh there is some new American Crafts over there...' OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!! the new American crafts Dear Lizzy line was sitting under the desk...the one that i have been waiting and drooling over the past few months...

For ages i have seen these in all the galleries...and wanted it...sooooo pretty...so when Vanessa said to take some to put up on the blog she didnt have to ask me twice...

Pleased as Punch...

I love emails...i mean really love emails...especially scrappy ones and they have been few and far between in the last 10 months ( for obvious reasons) full time work, part time scrappy work ( Papermaze) and a husband, son and house does not leave you much time for design team work.

But knowing that i was once again going to home based i started to apply for some calls...there have been some that i had my fingers crossed for ( card colour challenge call) that i didnt get, but i have big girl knickers lol!!! and i can take rejection...

But a while ago i applied for something that i really had all my fingers crossed for...i came across a design team call for a brand new kit club...brand new!!! sooooooooooo exciting!

And this morning i got the email say that they wanted me as part of the new design team!!!!!!!!!

So excited you would not believe!!!

Where oh where!

A while ago i saw this page...i loved it...love the scalloped shapes and the individual sections ( i seem to be on a section kick lately)...but for the life of me now i cannot find it to give credit to the person who i lifted it from...so if anyone knows who i lifted it from please let me know so i can credit them...


I used these for the shape of the sections and then just had fun...one of the reasons i love doing sections is because you can treat each section as an individual page.


Thanks for all your comments about my over abundent pin collection. I got many of the normal ones from the sewing aisle at Dunelm, The Range and at Tescos...Some i got from Papermaze.

I found some more here and here...but find yourself a good sewing shop and there are loads of different ones.

Following a sketch

To jump start my lack of mojo which has been haunting me lately i grabbed a Becky Fleck sketch.

This sketch was taking from Scrapbook and Cards today online magazine... I found it though Kelly Goree's blog ( one of my fav place to go) Check out the link on her website to see the sketch...link to the post on kelly Gorees blog.
I used some very old Scenice Route for this...

i was never there biggest fan, but every once in a while they bought out a line that i loved...

these are the scraps left over from a page i did months and months ago...but i found it the other day and wanted to use up the scraps that where left over.

New Idea Book...

A little while ago i got an email requesting one of my pages for this book... check it out!!!

Scrapbook inspirations.

It has been a while since i have sent anything in for publishing, but they had the page from one of the previous magazine that i did for them and they wanted to include it...I will have to dig it out and show you huh!!!

I need to send stuff in more...trouble is i always forget, i read the calls and think of an idea but get no further than that.

Again thanks to all of you that offered to help with the colour challenge...i have been working on my projects for it over the last few days ( in between eating chocolate eggs lol) here is a sneak of one of them...

Thanks for all of you that have emailed me about wanting to help with the colour challenge...you have all been so kind in offering to help. You are more than welcome to do as many as you like, pages, cards or a project, so if have more than one colour combination you like do them both :)...the post is not going up for a few weeks so you all have some time. If you would like to help let me know...
