Something...

I have been playing around with for a while now... I wanted to do a frame of my recent favorite pictures for my scrapbooking room.It is not fancy..it uses the same format on most of the sections...but i like it and it makes me smile...so i guess that is what counts huh!

This will probably be my last post this week...i have loved being at home, scrapbooking as much as i want ( apart from the occasional mario kart with Harry)...it is lovely being able to scrap a page and then blog about it the next day.

5 weeks and i can do that again...have i mentioned that i only have 5 weeks of full time work left??? maybe once or twice ???

I want to introduce you to scarf teddy...he is my sons comforter...this teddy was given to him on his first birthday ( i think) by one of my dh work friends. It took a while but he was given a name...i didnt chose scarf teddy but you can guess why he is called that huh! and proudly has the title of my sons favorite thing in the world.
As you can see his scarf needs patching up and no matter how many times i put him through the washing machine he doesnt get any cleaner...i am sure there are some mums reading this blog that can relate to this...
I had been meaning to do a page about him for a while now...but because of the colours on his scarf i was waiting for the right matching pattern paper to come along to put the page together.

The Cosmo Cricket line that i picked up this morning called Joy ride was perfect! i sooooo happy!
SO i sat down today and put this page together...
( sorry colours are a bit wonky! seriously it needs to be summer so i can photo my pages with some actual light!!!)
I actually only used two pieces of pattern paper for this page so i still have loads of sheets left to make another one later :) love that!

The flowers on the bottom lefthand side are from the chipboard element sheet from the 'Material Girl' collection...they matched perfectly!

I have never bought anything like the chipboard element sheet before as they are quite expensive...but i wanted to change my stash up abit and i am glad i did as the Material Girl one is gorgeous!!! may have to go back and buy the others!!!

I also bought the cream and the black ones of these!
Seriously gorgeous! i cannot wait to use them...they did have other colours but not sure wether they would get as much use as the ones i bought...hmmmm.

Loving it!

I am an extremly slow scrapbooker...i have been known to take as long as 3 days to put together one layout! The reason? well i like to take my time over a page and enjoy the process...it is time on my own doing something that i love and is all mine ( with the sometimes exception of harry who pops his head in the door)

But this page came together in a few hours! Partly i think because i knew what i wanted to do on it, as i have had the design in my head for a few weeks now...so i think that helped a bit.
Also i ENJOYED making it! sounds strange but i had such a nice evening...scrapbooking , watching telly and my other half even bought me up a pancake and a cup of tea...
All in all the perfect evening!

I loved doing all the individual sections on this...
using some new product that i have picked up on my scrapbooking travels this week...

and using some old embellies that i have had lying around my room for ages!

On a more exciting note! popped down to Papermaze this morning and picked up all ( yes all gulp!) the new Cosmo Cricket! OH MY WORD! i love ever single piece!!!! and am going to dig into it this afternoon.
On a not so exciting note! i have to go back to work on Monday :( still only 5 weeks left!

Can you say...LOVE BEING AT HOME! i even cleaned the downstairs of my house! i never clean normally that is hubbys job! lol...but i had done it all by 9am!! Now just need to do upstairs...but will leave that for later on in the week!

So yeah i did another page in the smaller size..turns out that i scrap simpler when i do smaller! weird huh!

Have a ton of time 2m to scrap this week and i am going to make the most of it! see you soon.

A busy sunday...

In an effort to actually leave the house for the first time in over a week...i decided that a trip to the nearest seaside was in order to blow away those cobwebs..and it wasnt too cold either! And in doing so i found the best beach hut ever!!! someone had painted it bright pink!!!!!!!!!!

Soooooo cool!!! and i got this!

Because we want it to be summer and we wanted to ice cream place to be opened!!! he looks really cold huh!!! seriously it wasnt as cold outside as he looks!!! lol

Bad Blogger!

I know... but this time i have a fab excuse!!! seriously i do!

I had...wait for it.... SWINE FLU!!! well that is what the doctor said...possible swine flu..I say possible as they dont test for it anymore.
I have to say it was the worst i have ever felt in my life!!!! oh my! For a week i couldnt do anything! even dosed up on all the meds that i was on i still felt horrible. At one one point they where going to take me in to put a drip in my arm!!!

Anyway a week later and i am up and okay...i say okay because i think it is one of those illness that is going to take a while to get over...so it is good that i have the next week off with Harry being off school for half term...lots of rest and extra sleeping!

I dont have much planned for the next week...may be pop here...The cheap Shop. It is full of buttons, pins, ribbons, beads bits and pieces that i didnt even know i needed!!! it can take hours to go round as this place is huge and is full of little drawers with bits and pieces in perfect for scrap booking and card making!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh we will see though as it is a fair drive away.

Been making some more cards...this one is a lift of one of the valentine cards that i made...which by the way all went up on the Making Memories Blog if you want to check it out!

The little round circle that says Happy birthday came from this shop a little while ago...CraftWork Cards.Love this place...they make some gorgeous cards and have some fab ideas!!!!

And then when i was waiting for my dh to come upstairs to bed i made this...
All made with the girls Friday line...one of my fav lines EVER invented i think so much that when my card won the Carddvarks competition , with my $25 prize i bought more of it!!! lol

And Amiee asked me the other day about my butterflies? i use a Martha Stewart Punch...i have about 3 of them as i couldnt chose!!! lol hope that helps..if you want me to link you up then let me know.

Not sure what is with me at the moment. I dont find any joy in making pages at the moment...in fact the only ones i have made recently are for my classes...i am sure it will come back soon though, i hope so as i miss not making pages...but at the moment they seem so daunting.

I was thinking about moving to a smaller size and see if that helps???

Trouble is it doenst look as good online as it does in real life!!!

I didnt use pattern paper for the back ground...
It doesnt have hundreds of layers...


but hey life would be boring if everything was the same huh!!!
