Butterflies everywhere!!! day two...and another giveaway

I loved making this banner a while ago ( sorry i couldnt get the picture to come out any bigger or less distorted :(...

...but after a while of being hung up in my scrapbooking room it has warped and the butterflies look a funny shape...so i wanted to make another one that would last a bit longer...

Here is how i made it...

First up i cut out one of my dies butterflies...i chose the biggest one i had...

I then wanted to add some decoration to the wing, so i cut it out again but with a different pattern paper...
I used my magnets that came with my Basic grey cutting mat ( best thing i ever bought ) and added a small one to the middle, lining it up with the lines on the mat...

as you can see ( click to make it bigger to see better) i drew the lines down the wings...i then cut down these.

I then adhered them onto the first butterfly that i cut out...

I then went onto make the centre...i cut out a small triangle...

then using the round one, Basic Grey file set...i rolled it up, starting at the big end.

and adhered it onto the centre of the butterfly.

Now onto the banner...this time i used felt...
cut out the diamond shape, folded it over and then sewed the edges...then cut out another rectangle to adhere to the felt...

before adhering on the paper i sewed some lace across where the top of the paper would be...

and then added the triangle...

i then cut out lots of butterflies and punched out lots of flowers..i used one butterfly and two flowers on each part of the banner...

and added some really pretty glitter thickers...

i then wanted to fancy up the edges...i wanted to use the same lace that i had already used but i didnt have enough so i picked another...

and sewed it round the edges...

I then made another 3 ( i say that as if it took me half an hour...nope...this is an all day project, it took me about 6 hours to make, but then i have to work slower and had to keep stopping because of my hands)...here they are all together...

Click on the picture as it doesnt show the good effect this size...clicking makes it bigger and you can see more of the detail...

Here they are one by one...

2nd one..

3rd one -

and the last one...

and at a different angle...

I am hoping that this one last longer than the other one...they are much heavier so i think they will...i used the Girls Paperie line for this...i am now really desperate for some new paper as i am now using scraps of scraps! lol!

okay... do you want a sneek at 2m? here it is...

Dont forget to post on the post below....my weekend give away is finished and i will announce the winner at the weekend, but i have posted the latest mini kit give away in the post below...so comment away x
