My love of butterflies...i have always loved them ever since i was little...but you all know that i have a love of butterflies huh!!!
I love them even more when i am crafting...because there are endless possibilities as to what you can do with them...any shape, size or patterns.
I have done many different butterfly projects but lots of you have asked for more so i decided to do 5 butterflies in 5 days...i was in heaven lol!!!
So for this week...prepare for butterfly overload...
Day one...i decided to do a page for my first project...
Here it is...click on the image to make it bigger and to see more details...
This was the first project that came into my mind when i first started thinking about this week...and it was easy to put together.
Basically i cut out a circle, then drew a smaller circle inside and cut it out so all i was left with was a the outside rim...i then just embellished each of them..with ...of course butterflies ( oh and a few photos lol...though they where an after thought,)
Each butterfly is made the same just with different pattern papers...the papers that i used on this where Echo Park you can see them Life is good... and the back page is Basic Grey Basic. I have a hoard of these for a particular purpose.
I dont like using cardstock as the base part of my page...i think, unless it is done to help tone down the other parts, it is boring. But what do you do when you dont have a whole page left to use, especially if you are using up scraps which is what i have done here...well...i use something like these from Basic Grey...no colour so it can match with any line and has a pattern on it so livens up a page!
Here are some more close ups...
I have used my new butterfly dies for most of the projects this week in an attempt to save my hands till i get them injected.
I used these thickers on this page - thickers...i have been hoarding these for a while now as i love them so much!!!
the little butterfly that i have used in the middle is done with glitter card and a Martha Stewart punch...classic butterfly...one of my favorite...i have not checked out the new Cha Martha Stewart punches yet...anyone have a link to them?
Thanks for looking and dont forget to come back 2m...here is a peek as to what it is...and commet on my give away on the post below!

This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm always amazed at how you 'bedazzle' butterflies! Gorgeous!!!
Beautiful page, love your layering as always and I love how you usually section your butterflies off like the Jenni Bowlin ones, I think it gives them so much depth :) Tomorrows sneak looks gorgeous!
Absolutely beautiful Wendy. I am always inspired with how you do your layering and how you mix papers/patterns/colours.
I can't wait to see tomorrows project, the sneak is lush. Anita..xx
Oh gorgeous! love those butterflies and the LO as a whole is just colorful..loved it more when it was the Delovely papers! Those are vibrant, these are subtle..did you stitch on those butterflies? or is that faux stitching..looks pretty!
Oh Wendy this is absolutely beautiful. You sure have a way with those butterflies. That BasicGrey basic paper is the perfect backdrop for them.
Can you tell me which butterfly die you used for the large butterfly?
So very gorgeous! I'm finding that I put butterflies on everything these days after reading your blog. :) Love it!
Fab, Fab, FAb just found your blog via American Craft - congratulations on getting onto their DT Team. Your blog will be one I'll be following. Love all that you have produced.
