Making a card - partly Zva style.....ish...

Morning all...how was your weekend? mine was fab my son learnt to ride his bike without stabilizers!!!! so whooo hoo!!!

Anyway back to the card...as you know i am in a creative rut at the min ( dont you hate it when that happens???) so i have lifted part of the summer time page i did the other day...

Okay first off i used up a scrap of my Basic Greys basics....paper...cut it to the size 13.5cm across and then just under 5 cm up and down...
I then added some pretty scalloped edge using the Fiskars punch to the top and to the bottom of the rectangle...

I then added some Raffia across the middle ( this is a recent purchase and i am loving it!!!!!)...in the photo above you can see it adhered to my crafting mat...When i make my cards i make the whole thing and then stick it down after...adhereing to the mat keeps it in place on the card while i am making it!

I then moved onto the buttefly which i used on the page...
As before i used a Scenic Route chipboard butterfly as a template...
I then cut it out and then ran it though the swiss dots embossing folder ... to answer Sarahs question that she asked the other day...i use a pair of scissors to cut out all my stuff...here they are

They are small which is fine for me as i have small fingers but very sharp i love them!!!

I then added one of the flowers that i bought on the twig the other day and added that to the centre of the butterfly...

I then added it all together...

I then added a small strip of white embossed card to the top and the bottom of it

...only having a few cms poking out from under the kraft scallops...
I then punched out the same smaller butterflies as the other day but onto brown glitter paper....gorgeous stuff this!

This is where the Zva products come in...i picked my fav ones out of the box that i had..these are the pearls...i have them in all different colours for this card i used these...

they have big pearls and smaller pearls in the packet...for the brown butterflies i used the bigger ones...

I then adhered all this to the card...

I then wanted to add the sentiment as i know what this card is for... to do that i dug out my pack of srm sentiments stickers that i won when i won card of the week on 2 sketches 4 u...

I then added smaller pearls to the spots in between the best wished words i then used a smaller embossing folder across the top and the bottom...and just like that the card is done...

(sorry about the shadow of the butterfly on the photo...really annoying!!!

I think i am digging this whole white thing!!!! lol...
I will have more projects to share with you this week so pop back later...also dont forget to post your comment on the give away post a few posts down...i will get Harry to chose and number later this week to see who won!!!!
