5 tags in 5 days...

I thought i would do something different this week...this week i am going to post 5 tags in 5 days...i have worked on these over the last few weeks...and how i have enjoyed making them...each one different...but each one matching...loving it!!!

So without further ado!!! lol...here is the first tag...
First of all i will tell you about the tags that i am using... they are really cheap...i buy them from a shop over here in the UK called WHsmiths...they are actually luggage tags and be found in their stationary department...i always have a pack in my stash as i use them often...

The first thing i did for this tag was to cut out a butterfly shape ( one of Scenic Routes chip board ones to exact) out of white felt. I have lots of felt sitting around my scrapbooking room and not something that i always use but should!!!

I then drew around the jenni Bowlin embellishment butterfly onto a piece of text paper...

Cut it out...I then moved onto a smaller one...this time i used the Classic Butterfly from Martha Stewart...one of my favs...i cut this out of a brown paper bag that i had...good to recycle!!! lol...I then added a heart butterfly and with a thread and a needle i sewed them all together...

I then added a pin and some beads behind it...Then i put it aside and worked on the tag...

I started at the bottom for this one...first off i added a small strip of pink pattern paper...i then added a word strip from my SRM stickers...

I layered it across the bottom...

I then added small little gems in between each letter...
Then onto the middle of the tag...
i added half of a paper doily across the middle

and then a small rectangle of My Minds Eye pattern paper...

On top of this i added the butterfly...i then punched out a small butterfly again from the kraft paper bag and added that to the top of the tag with some pearls and a gem..here is the finished tag...
If you have any questions regarding this tag...leave a comment in the comment section and i will answer them on sat...thanks for looking and come back 2m to see the next tag :)

Beautiful! I can't wait to try this! I have not really worked with felt very much, so this may seem like a silly question but... What tool do you use to cut felt? I've tried cutting felt in the past with just Cutterbee scissors and I did not get a nice tight cut like your cute butterfly :( Thanks so much.

You are a MASTER at Layering! I'm hoping by checking out your blog in my Google reader whenever you post your layering skills will rub off on me at least a little bit! TFS

Wendy, this tag is amazing! You make the most lovely butterflies!! (If you look at my recent MR projects, you'll see that you've truly inspired me - though mine still look like "beginner" flutterbies compared to yours. ;)
