An apology

I just wanted to pop in here quickly and apologise to the girls who come to my workshops.

I had to cancel my christmas card one this week.

I have had a very very very very poorly little boy at home.
He has been in bed since sunday. He has not been able to get out of bed i have had to carry him to the bath room. He has slept pretty much for the last 3 days. And when he has not been sleeping he has been crying and just staring at the wall just being ill.

He has been really poorly, i have never seen him like this, in fact it was very scary!!!

But this morning he is sitting up in bed asking for breakfast!!! so i think he is finally on the mend.

He should be back to this soon!!!!!

I have moved the christmas card class to next week!!!! so i will hopefully see you there!

Templates...

i was discussing with Vanessa ( Papermaze owner) what sort of style i have... I didnt fit into one of the sets that we had in front of us. I dont do simple, or distressed.... i am more of a bling, flowery scrapper.

In fact i described it as a 'make something from nothing' kind of a scrapbooker. When i say this i mean taking what i have and turning it into something else.

The things i use the most are my punches. Every time. Why?

Well i have scrapbooked for other people for so long, and sometimes all you get is some pattern paper and you have to put a page together. I learnt very early on that punches and templates where my friend.

It has shaped the way that i scrapbook over the last few years and now i find it very hard to scrapbook any other way.

I have a big draw full of templates, fiskars ones and the ones that i have cut out myself. I also have a little draw full of things that i use all the time...

So today we are going to have a comments give away. Leave a comment on my blog and i will pick someone to have a copy of all my little templates. It is that simple.

I have not had this blog up and running for a while so you should be in with a good chance of winning!!! lol!!!! I will leave it open to the end of the weekend.

Because my husband is an....

So some of the girls that come to my workshops twice a month use these - fine tip
I usually use tombow glue as the tip is fairly small but i am finding it hard to buy and rumour has it they have been discontinued :( so i have been looking for something to take its place.

And this fine tip bottle, to me, is the way to go.

So i came home from my workshop on wednesday went online and bought one. Me being stupid got my husband in on this ( not sure why!!!)

When it came to paying, the people who run this website say that they have to add on 34p for a paypal charge.

Me personally am fine with that why should they lose out and it is only 34p.

Now my husband ( being the way he is) said 'i am not paying that, i will send them a check'

Yep i kept myself quiet.... let him click the pay by cheque button and then the conversation went something like this...
me : so you are not going to pay the paypal fee of 34p?
Husband:nope i am not, i am sending them a check instead, you will have to wait a few extra days'
me: oh okay that is fine.... how are you sending this cheque??
Husband: ( looking at me very strangely) by post of course!!!
me: so you will not pay the 34p paypal charge but you will spend 39p on a stamp to get it there???

I even got out of bed to do my happy dance to that one when i saw his face as he realised what he had done...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh these are the moments that i live for!!!!!

Not much scrappy stuff to show you today. I have lots of projects on the go for several things but nothing to show you now. I have been working on a project for Papermaze though this weekend, and i think i have made my most favourite card EVER!!!

A little peek for you...

I will let you know when series of posts are due to go up on the blog.
Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Been Busy! As if i am anything else these days.
Been at work all week. Done a class at Papermaze.More late evenings working.Oh yep and more late evening working.

I have lots of scrapbooking things on right now.
Classes to do for January:hoping to do a double page for this not sure yet so if anyone who reads this has a good double page sketch then let me know.

Finishing off my christmas card class for next week at Papermaze.

Working on 'secret project' will fill u in later on that one when i can.

Biggest one is i am doing a week on the blog for Papermaze the week in between Christmas and New year. I picked up some stuff for this today and have a few ideas in mind about what to do. The one INSANE idea that i came up with is to do something that i JUST NEVER DO and that is to get messy fingers.

Yep all you girls that i do workshops for and all you girls that i scrap with will know that I DO NOT DO MESSY SCRAPBOOKING. Never not even a little bit so i am a TINY bit worried about this one day but i am sure it will be okay. I picked up a mask from Tim Holtz at Papermaze today and it is sitting there, staring at me, taunting me. Well okay taunting may be a bit to much but yep it is not making me happy!!! lol

I thought i would share with you a few things that i have in my scrapbooking room. I have been asked a few times to share my room and i am always reluctant. There are so many gorgeous rooms out there... this post on two peas will show you just how gorgeous!!! and mine is sooooooooo not one of those. It is functional, practical and makes sense to me. There are no fancy cabinets or beautiful artwork. Anyway here are a few things...
This is on the right hand side of my scrap room. I bought it from the shop called 'THe Range' It holds all my odds and ends.

Across the top row i have all my punches...

All my Pattern paper and cardstock is kept on the top. I organise these by paper lines as i like to use co ordinating papers from the same line so it makes sense to keep them in bags all together. I keep all my scraps in the bag as well, i dont tend to throw away even the most tiny piece of paper as you just never know.

Above this i have shelves. It holds my dvd's that i watch while i am waiting. I am sure if you looked closely you can see i have a weird and odd taste in films and dvd's.

It also holds some plastic boxes which i sort my stuff into...

Nothing special, flowers, tags ghost shapes and letters etc...

These ones are above my desk and they hold the things that i use allllll the time hence while i keep them within arms reach...

I keep everything i use on all pages in this from making memories. THE BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT!!!!! Pens, scissors, glue you name it, it is in there.

I know people put there stamps in fancy containers. I have some in them but others that i use all the time i put into a few baskets that i keep next to me.

Here is a card that i made the other evening.... really into making cards at the min which is weird but dont expect it to last as it never normally does.

If you are on Facebook let me know as i would like to get to know some of my readers.

see you soon x

Hi

So it turns out that i prefer being at home!!! rather than at work!!! lol. Seems i dont get a chance to scrapbook at all :( which is sad as i really really would much rather be scrapbooking than changing dirty nappies allllllll day lol!

Anyway had a chance to scrapbook a bit this weekend. Not saturday as i had to go on a coughs and sneezes course for work.... which was really good apart from the seriously gross and i mean seriously gross pictures of different dieases!!!.... didnt eat much after seeing all of those!!! lol

So i finally finished a page that has been sitting on my desk all week. I used the Dream Street Papers called 'Sam' for this one. I think it is has got to be my favourite off the latest lines that i have been given to work with from them...

I also used a fancy pants glitter cut that i have had for ages now and not used...

ohhhh and i bought myself some new slippers ( yes i know a weird thing to show you right!!!) but i would love these colours and the pattern of them on some scrapbooking paper!!!!
yep, broke my blog... sigh now i have to fix it, be back soon! But my new workshops are up on the Papermaze website. Some of them are for the shop but there are some that are being sold online. You can see them here!

I love being on holiday

I love being on holiday from work. I have done so much scrapbooking over the last week, my hands have practically stopped working! darn carpel tunnel.

Anyway lots that as usual i cannot show you as they are for workshops, but i can show you two things.

The first one is a card that i did using the new Nook and Pantry. I love this line, sooooo gorgeous!!!

The next one is a page i did for the Dream Street blog. They sent me some of the Halloween line to use, but i decided to use it for something other than that to show people who versitile it can be...
THis one is a little bit different than i normally do but i still love it. Back to work for me now :(
