A very busy week has kept me from being anything other assignment creative this week. Not sure why but the days have been really long. And in my job that is not good!!! lol.

Not that i hate my job, in fact i love it but sometimes i would rather be at home on the sofa surfing the net and scrapbooking and this week was one of those times. THough we have had a lot of our one year olds learning how to walk this week and that is always amazing!!!!

I have a busy weekend this week. I am off to here on saturday with my gorgeous friends. Not sure what i will be painting and i am guessing that as there are 8 of us and only 4 are adults not very much!!! lol

And then on sunday i am off to Alexandra Palace in London. Now for those that do not know every year there is a big huge!!! scrapbooking event there twice a year. And 2m i get to go!!!!!! sooooooooooooooo excited!!!

Anyway off to go paint something have a fantastic weekend.

I bought one of these...

I picked up one of these the other day at Papermaze, i dont think they are up on the website yet though as i kinda took it out of a box that had just arrived !!! lol

If you do buy one of these there are parts of it that you have to saw off and file down. My mum has a big love for bird houses and i though this would make a good xmas present for her. I plan on attaching a mini album on the back. I will show you this project once it is completed!

I have been working on some christmas things this week!!! yep i know christmas is a few months away yet, but my work can get crazy for pretty much most of December so i thought i would get it all done a bit earlier this year. So when you are all saying 'ohhhhh i need to get my xmas cards done ' i can do my happy dance and already have them done and ready to go.

I work in an nursery and school so there are a few classrooms and lots of staff member to do stuff for. So i opted for an easier option. I am doing 'from our classroom to yours.'. I have made little bags and then inside i am going to put a little card and a chocolate christmas lolly for them.

This is the first one that i have made.

This one i made was done using the Christmas Basic Grey Paper ( i forget the paper line name)

I used a normal card and adhered round the edges to bag a little bag.

I am going to add some bling to it, just not sure where yet...
I have another 5 to make so will share them when i have finished them. Hope you all have a good week!!!!

A gorgeous Scrapper....

I dont know about you but i have a huge list of blogs that i visit. Some every once in a while, some everyday. One of the ones i visit all the times is a lady called Leah Killian. She is the co-ordinator of the kit club that i used to and still wish that i was on.

Her work is OUTSTANDING and i love everything that she does. ( she has gorgeous kids too)!!!

The other day i went on her blog and saw a gorgeous breathtaking page. It was her tribute to 9/11 and all the people who lost their lives on that day.

I had to scraplift it. So that very day i sat down with the new Bo Bunny line and made this page.

I am not 100% happy with it, but i am calling it done!!! Off to the Papermaze crop 2m!!! Have a fun weekend!

How has your week been??? Mine has been REALLY busy. Work mainly, looking after Harry and Russell, sleeping ( went to bed at 7.30 slept till 6am the next day) yep i think i was a tad tired!!! lol.

One of the nice things about working again are having people ( and i mean grownups) to talk to again. Especially as they both have a love of scrapbooking!!!!! So this weekend we have been shopping together and scrapping together. Also an impromptual photo session. But what happens when you need a photo of all the grown ups??? Get the 5 year old to take it. I am telling you that kid can take a nice photo huh!!!
I also had a family photo done at my mums the other day. *Sigh* i just wish Harry would look at the camera every once in a while.

I also managed to do some scrapbooking for me. Which is un heard of!!!!! I got some Bo Bunny from Papermaze and wanted to use it. I saw a page similar to this on two Peas a little while ago. I forget who designed it but it has been saved on my computer for a while and i wanted to give it a go. I have fixed the strips that are in the wrong place now!!! lol

£264!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is how much it cost to have my car fixed today. To be truthful it has been going for a while now, but it got to the point where i could hardly drive it.

I had told R this a few months ago, and i told him that the clutch was going but you know what men are like, he did the whole, rolling of the eyes and ' yes dear'. But when i couldnt get it to drive up the hill at the end of my road anymore ( yep it went backwards) even he couldnt deny it need doing.

So he took it to our 'car man' on sunday morning and he said 'yep the clutch is BROKEN BIG TIME'

I did a happy ' i told you so dance' which actually i seem to do alot!!! and then realised i was doing a happy dance to something that was going to cost £264!!!!!!! so yep i stopped dancing!!! lol

Anyway i n ow have a working car and it feels like a whole other car and i keep stalling it, but i dont care as now i have a car that moves forward and everything!!!!

I did this page a little while ago and realised that i hadnt shown it to many people so here it is.
I did it using one of the most gorgeous lines i think Fancy Pants ever did!!!

And yep i do know that i missed out the s in sunshine!!!

What did i do...

What did i do this weekend. Well i cut down a tree.

Sounds funny??? yep but that is what i spent most of saturday and today doing.

I live in a house with a a garden that is nearly 100 foot long. yep seriously long!!! with a big garden like that comes a HUGE amount of grass, trees, shrubs a rose bushes. But some of those trees are seriously huge.

Now i am one of those people that always thinks the worse things are going to happen, and this one tree was just to close to the house for comfort. So i bring it up casually with dh who i refer to as R..
the conversation went something like this..

me : that tree is seriously close to the house!
R: yep ( completely uninterested in the conversation)
me: seriously close!!!! ( more urgency in my voice now)
R: hmmmmmm
me: what if it up roots and falls over onto the house???
R:that is not going to happen wend, trees just dont fall down for no reason, now do they ( added sarcasm in his tone)
me: ooooooooookay!!!!

Yep! i should have had that taped as the next night there was a big storm and one of trees that was in our garden fell over.

Haaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! insert gloating dance. Yep i was all like 'dude i was soooooooooo right'

So we have spent the whole weekend and last weekend cutting down the most enormous tree that is situated right next to the house with nope, no where near the right equipment for the job.

And H up a tree with his ladder attached to the tree with a bit of rope.

Do you know it costs nearly £500 to have a tree cut down by professonal people???

Yep that is a huge chunk of tree that has just fallen on my conservatory!!!!! Which i was assured would never happen. Can you see my cuttlebug on the window sill of my scraproom???

Anyway latest news from Papermaze is that the workshops that i do at the shop a few times a month are going to be up for sale ( as a trail run to see how they sell) on the internet. So you dont have to be close to the shop to do them. This is nail biting. I have some very faithful followers who come to the workshops at the shop and we have a fab time. But that is easy, as i know them and we have a fantastic time and laugh and joke. But this is something more scary!!!!! wether or not they sell is the scary part i think but we will see. Here is a peek at the first workshop that is going to be available online to buy.
Gulp!!!!! very nervous about it, but Vanessa assures me it will be okay, so i guess i just have to have more faith in myself huh!!!

Again

Yep, yet again i thought i would try this blog thing.... Not sure how it will go or wether i will be able to keep it up, but to be honest this time i am not going to pressure myself about how often i post. So yep i am here. This is me...

What have i been up to. Well working mainly. I am currently the supervisor of a baby unit on the town where i live.

There was a time after i had my son, who i am going to refer to as H, when i thought i would never be in the right frame of mind or physically capable of working part time let alone full time. But after 5 long years of physio, exercises and alot of hope i am managing it. Yep, i am tired actually to tell you the truth i am exhaused!!! yep i want to go to bed when i get home and yep i miss the times when if i didnt feel like it i wouldnt have to leave the house.

But every day at 7.15 am i leave this house for a job i actually adore doing. Lets face it who wouldnt want to work with 12 under 2 year olds huh!!!! nope??? why not!!! lol.

Lets see what else do i do. Well i am currently on 2 design teams. I work for a shop called Papermaze. I help do their blog, i run their workshops and design for their shop. It is something i have been doing for years now and i love it and the people who i work with.

I also design for Dream Street Papers. They are here if you want to look them up. Gorgeous stuff huh!!!

Anyway that is me and i will be back with my recent pages and workshop dates. See you soon.
